This is mainly about strolling around and discovering this relatively quiet but by no means off the beaten track part of Venice. The Jewish ghetto is most interesting as are many of the quieter canals set back from the main drag, Srada Nuova. Strade Nuova though is very useful in terms of orientation as it takes you straight down to the Rialto bridge area. You cannot go wrong.
There are some nice quiet side canals where you can see real Venetian daily life.
