Castello

Stretches from the edge of St. Mark’s Square to the old shipyards at Arsenale and onwards to the Biennale Gardens. There are some pleasant squares to explore (my favourites being Campo SS Giovanni e Paolo and Campo Santa Maria Formosa) at the St. Mark’s Square end, but it can get very congested with tourists. The further away from the tourists you go, the region gets quieter and is residential in character.

Pasticceria

Rosa Salva

Rosa Salva is situated in the very picturesque and spacious square, Campo San Giovanni e Paolo (named after the towering church in the square)

Pasticceria

Didovich

This pasticceria is located in a very pleasant and quiet square not that far from the Rialto Bridge.
