Carlo Goldoni (born in 1707, died in 1793 in Paris) to is one of Italy’s best known playwrights. He was from Venice and lived there with his family for some time. He had a full life by all accounts and lived at various times in Rimini, Pavia, Modena, Pisa and ended up in Paris where he died in 1793.
