This magnificent palazzo on the Grand Canal is worth visiting, both to marvel at the magnificence of the palazzo itself, but also to view the extensive collection of 18th century Venetian art. There are important works by Titian and Veronese here. There is an excellent book shop here, together with a cloakroom and a café.
As an interesting aside, previous occupants included the poet Robert Browning (who died there), the American painter John Singer Sargent and American songwriter, Cole Porter.
